Youth Ministry.

Currently all of our youth provision and opportunities for youth ministry are provided by Callum Moore - Leader of Youth Ministry and School Chaplain based at John F Kennedy Catholic School in Gadebridge.

For JFK Students

As part of the Chaplaincy role within the school, Callum organises retreats and small group opportunities. Everyday at break time and lunchtime he runs various forms of prayer and worship opportunities for students within JFK.

Students who do attend JFK

For young people from across Hemel aged 11-18, there are after-school opportunities to join in too. Most clubs start at 15:30 and run to 17:00. To ensure young people from outside JFK are still able to get the most from sessions, as long as young people arrive before 16:00 they able to engage with the more structured part of the session.

All sessions are free to attend and as each takes place in different parts of the JFK school and St Marks church grounds, please contact cmoore@jfk.herts.sch.uk if you would like further information.

In addition to Callum’s work, the The Diocese of Westminster Youth Ministry (DOWYM) is based at the beautiful grounds of Waxwell House, in London which also serves as the Retreat Centre.

Established in 1993, the purpose of the Retreat Centre is to facilitate a Spiritual and Personal Encounter with Christ and to that end it runs day and residential retreats for young people from across the Diocese, focusing primarily on school pupils.

In addition to SPEC retreats, the DOWYM organises national conferences, summits and music events. It also helps coordinate applications for World Youth Day.
